A 1 Day Practical based course we take a look at the system design and hardware of the Paxton NET2 Access Control system. Net2 Entry is a door entry system that works standalone or alongside Paxton’s Net2 access control, combining door entry with key features of Net2. Net2 Entry consists of 3 components that auto-detect on set up; external panel, interior monitor and door control unit.
Net2 Entry is a plug and play solution that comes with a range of panel options and is suitable for a wide variety of sites.
The Net2 Entry control unit is the central interface between a panel and the door and provides data and PoE to the monitors. The ports can also be used to expand the network of panels and monitors through Net2 Entry extension switches or to connect the control unit to a Net2 system running Net2 v4.25 or later. Throughout the course, we will discuss how and where the relevant standards apply to different parts of the system and how this can affect a number of things from system design to equipment location. We will also cover single door entry systems to large scale multiple entrances and exits. During the course we will use practical and theory based learning skills to reinforce the subjects covered.
